DIFY - Senior Thesis

For the majority of my childhood, I grew up living with a single-mom. Our house was full of determination and resilience, but there was always an area we struggled in: when something broke, none of us knew how to fix it. Without a reliable father figure in my life, I was never able to learn the essential skills needed for home and car maintenance. As I've gotten older and more independent, I've realized the need to feel capable without depending on others. That is why I created DIFY–an app that teaches women basic home, car, and lawn maintenance skills.

Why an orca? Orcas are one of only a handful of species that have matriarchal societies. The females lead and make the decisions for the pods, reflecting the empowerment for women that defines DIFY.
